We have been working collaboratively with a variety of groups and organisations since we opened. We are fully committed to partnership working to get the best services for the community.
Learning for Locals
This is a learning local forum made up by various organisations including: Dearne Valley College, Workers Education Association, Serenity Academy & Cortonwood Comeback Centre. This enables us to offer various training courses both accredited and non-accredited.
Dearne Valley College can offer the following courses:
• Arts and crafts
• Sewing
• Beauty – various course available
• Flower Arranging
• Candle making & Bath Bombs
• Fakeaways & Cooking on a budget – Learning to cook your favourite takeaways foods healthily and on a budget
• Cake decorating & Cupcake decorating
All these courses are free for people aged 19 and over and run throughout the year (course’s normally run for 6 weeks)

WEA can offer the following courses:
• Singing to reminisce
• Numeracy
• Literacy
• Sugarcraft
• Skills for volunteers
• Healthy Cooking
These courses are for people aged 19 and over and need a minimum of 12 people to run however if you are interested any of these then they may be available at other venues.
