Energy Advice
(THIS SECTION TO BE UPDATED WITH THE RELEVANT INFORMATION SOON)
Debt & Benefit Advice Energy
We are now able to offer support with Benefit advice, Debt related problems or housing issues.
We can help by giving you advice and guidance, helping you to fill out forms and make applications, liaising with appropriate agencies to help resolve any problems, setting up a plan to clear your debts, giving you money management training or support to help you manage your finances or even just giving you access to a phone or the internet.
If you are elderly or have a medical problem that stops you from coming to an appointment then on some occasions we may be able to come out to your home and assist you there.
Employment Advice
We can offer you help and advice for every stage of your job hunt, including writing a CV and covering letter, searching for jobs or apprenticeships, completing applications, planning and preparing for an interview and perfecting your interview skills.
We can also help you to apply for universal credit & other benefits, register on findajob.gov and set up and use an email address.
Volunteering
If you are looking to volunteer, either to increase your skills and give you some experience of employment or simply just for something to do in your spare time, we can help you to find the right placement.
We help you to decide what you want to do and what you would like to gain from it and find the opportunity that will best meet your needs.
We may even be able to offer you volunteering at our Centre if we have something that would meet your needs.
Education & Training
Whether you are looking to go back to college or simply want to undertake a training course to improve your skills and employability we can help you find the course that is right for you.
We occasionally run free courses from our Centre in areas such as; Literacy & Numeracy, Food Hygiene, Basic First Aid, and Basic Computer skills.
These courses are dependent on funding and numbers so if you are interested let us know and we can arrange for a course as soon as we have enough interest.
If you are interested in a course elsewhere we can help you to find and apply for the course and we can offer free computer and internet access.
